How SPRAVATO Is Administered

At Optimal Mind Psychiatry, SPRAVATO® is self-administered under the guidance of a healthcare provider:

  • You’ll be seated comfortably in a private treatment room.

  • A clinician will instruct you on using the nasal spray (typically 2-3 devices depending on your prescribed dose).

  • Post-administration, you will be monitored for at least 2 hours for potential side effects, including dissociation, sedation, or changes in blood pressure.

  • Please arrange transportation, as driving is not permitted on treatment days.

Using SPRAVATO® Nasal Spray

  • Do not blow your nose before use.

  • Spray once in each nostril, pausing five minutes between devices if needed.

  • Stay upright for 5 minutes after each spray.
